world's end girlfriend（ワールズ・エンド・ガールフレンド）は日本の音楽家、前田勝彦によるソロユニットである。略称として『WEG』が用いられる。
概要

概ねポストロック、エレクトロニカといったジャンルで括られるが、作品によってはプログレッシブ・ロックやヘヴィメタル、クラシック音楽からの影響も感じさせる。その音楽性はエイフェックス・ツインと比較されることが多い。

別名義として、world's end boyfriendとwonderland falling yesterdayがある。前者は、world's end girlfriendで時おり見せる茶目っ気のある音楽を展開するが、後者は一転して、現代音楽にも通じるような実験的、構築的音楽を作成する。

Ryoma Maeda名義で活動している音楽家、前田竜馬は実の弟である。
来歴

1975年11月1日、長崎県の五島列島に生まれる[1]。

2000年、「sky short story e.p.」、アルバム『Ending Story』にてデビュー。2001年、アルバム『farewell kingdom』発表。2002年には、バルセロナで開かれる音楽の祭典、Sonar（ソナー）に出演。2003年には元SPEEDのhiroのシングルでリミックスを手掛ける。2004年には、台湾、香港など東アジアを中心にツアーを行い、海外でも音源がリリースされる。2005年、映画『おそいひと』の音楽を担当。同年には再びSonarに出演した。2006年にはポストロックバンド、MONOとのコラボレーション作品『Palmless Prayer / Mass Murder Refrain』をリリースした。

2009年、カンヌ国際映画祭でも絶賛され世界中で公開された映画『空気人形』（監督・是枝裕和）の音楽を担当。

2010年7月14日、matryoshka, about tess, 夢中夢, Ryoma Maeda(aka milch of source)という濃厚なラインナップを率いて『Virgin Babylon Records』を設立。

2011年にはイギリスのErased Tapes Recordsより「SEVEN IDIOTS」の全世界リリースも決定。同年、アジア圏で広く公開された台湾の林書宇監督作品「星空 Starry Starry Night」の音楽を担当。

ライブやweb上でも圧倒的世界観を提示しつづけている。
