Wonder Girls（朝: ????、ワンダーガールズ）は、韓国出身の4人組女性アイドルグループ。2007年2月10日にデビュー。JYPエンターテインメントに所属していた。「Tell Me」が大ヒットし、韓国のアイドルブームの火付け役となった。アメリカや中国での活動も積極的だった。レトロ風の音楽とファッションを特徴としていた。
来歴
デビュー前

2001年7月、SBSの番組『超特急 日曜日万歳』の中で、歌手でありプロデューサーでもあるパク・ジニョンによってソネが選抜され、彼女を主軸としたグループを作ることとなった。その後、公開オーディションを通じてヒョナ、ソヒ、ソンミが選抜され、5人目のメンバーであるイェウンは、デビュー1ヵ月前の2007年1月にMTV・ダウム主催『UCC スター選抜大会』で選抜されて合流した。godやピ (Rain)などのスター歌手を育てたパク・ジニョンが企画したグループということで、デビュー前から大きな話題を呼び、デビューまでの過程はMTV『Wonder Girls』にて放映された。
2007年：苦難のデビュー ?「Tell Me」の大ヒット「Irony」

2007年2月10日、デビューシングル『The Wonder Begins』を発売し、タイトル曲「Irony」で活動を行った。

6月12日、ソヒが映画の撮影中にバイク事故で負傷し、約1カ月間4人での活動を余儀なくされた。また7月30日にはヒョナの脱退が発表された。活動初期から体調が思わしくなかったヒョナについて、事務所側が今後の正常な芸能活動は不可能と判断したものだった[2]。以降は残ったメンバー3人で活動を行った。メンバー達はこの時期が最も大変だったと語っている。

2007年9月、ヒョナの代わりに新メンバーのユビンが合流した。ユビンは別の事務所でデビューの準備を進めていたが、事務所の経営悪化により叶わず、オーディションに応募してワンダーガールズに合流することになった。
