U-17サッカー日本代表（ユーじゅうななサッカーにっぽんだいひょう、アンダーセブンティーンサッカーにっぽんだいひょう）は、日本サッカー協会によって編成される17歳以下のサッカーのナショナルチームである。FIFA U-17ワールドカップの前年にはU-16サッカー日本代表、そのさらに前年にはU-15サッカー日本代表と呼称が変わる。 日本はU-17世界選手権にホスト国であった1993年と、アジア予選を勝ち上がった1995年、2001年、2007年、2009年、2011年、2013年の計7回出場している。 この大会のアジア予選を兼ねるAFC U-16選手権は、本大会の1年前に16歳以下の選手によって行われる。日本はこの予選を高校受験によってしばらく競技を離れた上に、高校進学後の新チームではレギュラーとして実戦経験を積むのが難しい高校一年生中心のチームで戦う為、比較的好成績を残しているU-20世代と比べ、なかなかアジア予選を勝ち抜く事が出来なかった。各方面でこの年代においての国際試合の経験の少なさが論じられており、この対策も兼ねて2006年ののじぎく兵庫国体からサッカー少年男子の部の出場資格を、早生まれの高校二年生から中学三年生までの年代に変更。若い学年の内から、より多くの試合経験を積ませる動きが始まっている。その成果もあってか、2007年以降はコンスタントにU-17W杯の出場権を獲得している。しかし、2014年のAFC U-16選手権では準々決勝で敗退し、U-17W杯の連続出場記録が4大会で途切れた。 2023年、AFC U17アジアカップの決勝で韓国に3-0の快勝を収め史上初となるアジア連覇を達成[1]。FIFA U-17ワールドカップ[2]では初戦のポーランド戦で後半途中に豪雨による中断がありながらも再開後の76分に高岡伶颯が決勝ゴールを決めて1-0で勝利した[3][4][5]。しかし、2戦目のアルゼンチン戦は高岡伶颯が2試合連続ゴールを決めるも前半の2失点が重く響き、試合終了間際にもアグスティン・ルベルトのゴールで失点を喫して1-3で敗戦[6][7][8]。負け以外で決勝トーナメント進出が決まる3戦目のセネガル
