NU'EST（朝: ????、ニューイースト）は、PLEDISエンターテインメント所属の韓国の5人組アイドルグループである。2012年3月15日に「FACE」で韓国デビュー[3]。2014年7月30日に日本デビュー[4]。2013年からは中国人メンバーJASONが加入しNU'EST-M[5]、2017年から2018年までミニョンを除く4人でNU'EST-Wとしても活動している[6]。2019年1月に復帰。2020年10月に5年ぶりとなる日本アルバム「DRIVE」を発売。
概要

グループ名のNU'ESTは、ニュー(NU)・エスタブリッシュ(Establish)・スタイル(Style)・テンポ(Tempo)の合成語で、「音楽に合わせて新しいスタイルを作る」という意味[7]。NU'ESTのハングル表記「????」の子音(????)が「LOVE」を連想させることから、NU'ESTのファンは「L.O.Λ.E」(ラブ)と呼ばれる[8]。公式カラーはディープティール＆ビビッドピンク。
来歴
デビュー前（2009 - ）

2009年

JR、ミニョン、ベクホの3人がスカウト（ミニョンとベクホはスカウト後にオーディションを受け合格）、レンがオーディション会場でのスカウト[要出典]。

2009年、アロンが「プレディスUSAオーディション(英：PLEDIS USA Personal Audition[9])」で優勝し事務所に入所[10]。5人以外の練習生数名も含めて「AFTERSCHOOL BOYS[10][11]」や「PLEDIS BOYS」と呼ばれ、同じ事務所の先輩であるAFTERSCHOOLなどの楽曲やMV、ステージに参加しており、Pledisエンターテインメントのチャリティ企画では楽曲に参加。

2010年

2010年12月リリースAFTERSCHOOL「Happy Pledis」収録の「Someone is You」ではJR、ベクホ、レンがコーラス参加。翌年2012年12月リリース「Happy Pledis 2012 Love Letter」収録曲「Love Letter」ではJR、ベクホ、ミニョンがコーラス参加するとともに、5人全員がMVや音楽番組に出演した[11]。

デビューからNU'EST-M結成、日本デビュー（2012 - 2014）
