NIRGILIS（ニルギリス）は、日本の男性2人＋女性1人の3人組音楽バンド。
バンド名は紅茶のニルギリから伊藤孝氣が命名。紅茶のニルギリと綴りが違う
アルバム『テニス』発表時に正式英語表記を『NIRGILIS』とした。
2014年に全員脱退したが
2021年に岩田アッチュの呼びかけにより、オリジナルメンバーである伊藤孝氣、佐竹モヨと再結成した。
略歴
1993年、近畿大学の大学生、佐竹モヨと伊藤孝氣によって結成される。メンバーに女の子がいた3人組だったが、女の子はすぐ脱退。以後メンバーの脱退を繰り返し、最終的には20人近くのメンバーが出入りすることになる。
1998年、キーボーディストとして岩田アッチュが加入。後にボーカルとなる。
2000年、栗原稔が加入。
2001年、稲寺佑紀が加入。
2003年4月30日、アルバム「テニス」をリリース。レーベルはチュクリレーベル。大阪fireflyでチュクリナイトという深夜イベントを毎月開催。
2003年9月、プロデューサーにホッピー神山を迎えたシングル「真夜中のシュナイダー」でセーニャ・アンド・カンパニーよりメジャーデビュー。
2004年5月26日、アルバム「ニュースタンダード」をリリース。ken ishiiが楽曲「lucky star」、楽曲「赤い朝焼け」でアートスクールが参加。
2004年、佐竹モヨが脱退。4人編成となり、活動拠点を東京に移す[1]。
2005年、DefSTAR RECORDSに移籍。10月、渡辺美里の「My Revolution」のマッシュアップ楽曲｢コモンガール｣を収録したシングル+EP2枚組パッケージ『マイレボ』をタワーレコード限定でリリース。邦楽グループのマッシュアップはこれが最初といわれている。
2006年3月1日、堀澤麻衣子の歌う「アメイジング・グレイス」をマッシュアップしたシングル『sakura』をリリース。アニメ「交響詩篇エウレカセブン」オープニングテーマに起用され、スマッシュヒットを記録する。
2006年6月2日、アルバム『BOY」をリリース。
2007年2月21日、アルバム「BOY」のリミックスアルバム『GIRL」をリリース。
2007年9月、伊藤孝氣脱退。これで結成当時からのメンバーは全て脱退した事になる。
2009年4月8日、アルバム「RGB」をリリース。
2014年6月18日、ホームページで2014年8月6日に全員脱退（解散）することがアナウンスされた。
