MONSTA X（モンスタエックス、朝: ?????）は、韓国の男性アイドルグループである。所属事務所はSTARSHIPエンターテインメント。韓国や日本を中心として活動を行っている。7人組として結成されたが、2019年10月末のメンバーの脱退により6人組として活動している。

グループ名のMONSTA Xは、フランス語でMONが「私の」、STAが「星」を意味し、Xは「未知の存在」を表わしている。また「K-POP界をたいらげるモンスター」という意図も込められている[3]。キャッチフレーズは「フゥ! MONSTA X」。公式ファンクラブ名はフランス語で「私の赤ちゃん」を意味する「MONBEBE（モンべべ、朝: ???）」、日本の公式ファンクラブ名は「MONBEBE JAPAN」。
略歴

2015年、韓国のサバイバル番組『NO. MERCY』にて誕生。5月14日にミニアルバム『TRESPASS』でデビューする[4]。

2016年7月16日から7月17日にかけて、グループ初のライブ『MONSTA X THE FIRST LIVE X-CLAN ORIGINS』で開催[5]。

2017年1月に「ゴールデンディスク賞」を受賞[3]。同年5月17日にMercury TOKYOより発売されたシングル『HERO』で日本デビュー[6]。同シングルのオリコンチャート2位を記録[7]。

2018年1月31日にグループ初となる日本オリジナルシングルである3rdシングル『SPOTLIGHT』に発売し、オリコンデイリーランキングで1位を記録[8]。2月10日に開催された「第69回さっぽろ雪まつり 10th Anniversary K-POP FESTIVAL2018」に出演[9]。4月25日に日本での1stアルバム『PIECE』を発売し、グループ初の日本ツアー『MONSTA X, JAPAN 1st LIVE TOUR 2018 "PIECE"』を4都市6公演で開催[10]。

2019年10月28日にミニアルバムで『FOLLOW-FIND YOU』でカムバックを果たしたが[11]、同月31日にウォノの脱退が事務所から発表された[12]。同時に以降の活動は6人で行なわれることが発表された[13]。脱退発表後、SNS上でファンがウォノの脱退撤回を求める活動を続けている[14]。

2019年11月5日に放送されたSBS MTV『THE SHOW』で「FOLLOW」がカムバック後および6人体制での初の1位を獲得した[15]。

2020年2月14日に、アメリカにてフル・アルバム『ALL ABOUT LUV』を発売[16]。
