注釈 ^ 一方で、JR東日本傘下にあった日本レストランエンタプライズ（現：JR東日本クロスステーション）の略称は「NRE（Nippon Restaurant Enterprise）」となっていた。
^ 一例を挙げると、羽田空港輸送を担う東京モノレールもJR東日本グループの一員である。
^ 岐阜県・愛知県・三重県（伊賀地区を除く）・静岡県（東部の一部を除く）が該当。
