Y染色体系統樹の構築への取組み2006年以来、最新の知見に基づくY染色体系統樹の系統樹をサイト上にアップロードし、誰でもオンラインで確認できるようにしている[6][7]。また、系統樹の位置関係を決定づける要素となる、遺伝子のマーカー(一塩基多型/SNP)の発見・発表および系統樹上の位置特定に務めており、系統樹の精度を高めることに尽力している[8]。この系統樹は、世界中でDNA情報に裏付けられた全人類の系図として利用されている。
