GLAY（グレイ）は、日本のヴィジュアル系ロックバンド[5]。所属事務所およびレコードレーベルはLSG。公式ファンクラブは「HAPPY SWING」。1994年のメジャーデビュー以降、CDセールス、ライブ動員数など日本の音楽シーンをリードし続け、数々の金字塔を打ち立ててきた[6]。
概要

1988年に北海道函館市でTAKUROとTERUを中心にバンドを結成し、後に現在のメンバーであるHISASHIとJIROが加入した。1994年にインディーズのエクスタシーレコードからアルバム『灰とダイヤモンド』、プラチナム・レコードから1stシングル「RAIN」の同時発売でデビューした。1996年発売の2ndアルバム『BEAT out!』が初のオリコンチャート1位になると、同年発売の3rdアルバム『BELOVED』でミリオンセラーを達成した。中でも、1997年に発売した初のベスト・アルバム『REVIEW-BEST OF GLAY』はオリコン年間チャート1位を獲得。
