「DEPORTATION?but, never too late?」（デポーテイション・バット・ネバー・トゥー・レイト）は、奥井雅美の通算27作目のシングルである。
背景

1993年のデビューから在籍していたスターチャイルドでのリリースが、本作で最後となったシングルである。

制作

アルバム『DEVOTION』[1]の先行シングルとしてリリースされ、プロデューサーだった矢吹俊郎が退き、奥井自身によるセルフプロデュースとなってから最初のシングルとなった。その背景もあってか、「初心忘れるべからず」というメッセージを込め、当時の奥井自身の本心として歌詞を制作したという[2]。
