静岡県（しずおかけん）は、日本の中部地方に位置する県。県庁所在地は静岡市。
概要

東海地方（東海4県）の東部に位置する。直線距離にて県域の東西が155km、南北に118kmと全国13番目に広大な県域を保ち、全国10位の約360万人の人口を有する。旧令制国の伊豆国のほとんどと[注釈 6]、駿河国、遠江国の凡そ3国に相当する県である。地域によって住民の意識、方言、文化面に大きな違いが見られる。熱海市や沼津市など県東部は首都圏、湖西市や浜松市などの県西部は愛知県名古屋市を中心とした中京圏との結びつきが大きい。公的機関（中央省庁の地方支部局など）や民間企業の管轄では関東地方と同一の地域圏として広域関東圏の一部とされることもあり、山梨県や長野県とともに静岡県知事は関東地方知事会に参加している。北側は広大な南アルプス、南側には駿河湾、遠州灘に面する。23市10区12町の自治体があり、村はない。

約20万の事業所を抱え、全国4位の製造品出荷額を有するなど、東海工業地域に属する全国有数の工業県でもあり[3][4]、浜松市はホンダの発祥地でスズキ、ヤマハの本社がある他、オートバイ、ピアノ、プラモデルの輸出量では日本一を誇る[5]。また、全国一の水揚げ額を有する焼津漁港や、静岡茶が有名であるなど、第一次産業も盛んであり、東西の交通網や港湾を利用した6次産業化も進んでいる[6]。

政令指定都市である静岡市と浜松市、そして施行時特例市である沼津市と富士市を有し、人口10万人以上の都市が10市ある[注釈 7]など、東海道沿いの平野部を中心に人口が分散傾向にあり[7]、首位都市（プライメイトシティ）は存在しない。静岡県以外で県内に複数の政令指定都市を有するのは、神奈川県、大阪府、福岡県のみである。

また、富士山、富士山本宮浅間大社、韮山反射炉、三保の松原などの世界遺産や、世界ジオパークの一つである伊豆半島ジオパーク、熱海温泉、三嶋大社、久能山東照宮、登呂遺跡、大井川鐵道など多くの観光資源を有し、年間約1.5億人の観光客が訪れる[8]
