^ イとエの発音の区別が無い例として、「駅」は「いき」、「色鉛筆」は「えろいんぴつ」、「蝿」は「はいめ」などが挙げられる。
^ 関東圏では一律に殴ることを「ぶっとばす」と言うが、茨城では「ぷっとばす」や「ぷっくらす」とも言う。ブの音が語中ではなく、例外的に語頭で半濁音化する。
^ 歌うのタ音は、茨城弁においては濁音化してダに変化する。
^ 「関東べい」は、関東はもとより東北地方にかけて広く行われている。
