注釈^ 循環血液量の12%以内
^ 例外として血漿成分献血では、女性で一定の赤血球指数を超える場合、11.5g/dL以上で可能である。
^ 血小板は1回を2回に換算
^ 学校は16歳以上の年齢のいる学校で行われ、高校では16歳の生徒がいる関係で200mL献血、それ以外の学校では400mL献血が行われる。
^ 一部の献血ルームでは設置場所や広さの制約からか、成分献血を行っていない場所もある（例：札幌大通献血ルーム、東京新宿西口献血ルームなど）。
^ 人口に占める献血した人の割合。
^ 1=運転免許証、パスポートなど公的機関によるもので確認できた場合。2=社員証、クレジットカードなどの作成時に公的機関で本人証明がされているもので確認できた場合。3=証明書不携帯。
