^ 2代将軍秀忠の正室は戦国大名浅井長政の娘・お江与の方であるが、関白である豊臣秀吉の養女として輿入れしている。
^ その後であるが、姉小路は広大院付の上臈御年寄・梅渓に罪をなすり付けた。梅渓のその後は知られていない。また、この火事で広大院は中臈・こや（広大院付奥医師・桂川甫賢の娘）に老衰で寝たきりの御年寄・花町を助けだすよう命じ、こやは炎に包まれている大奥御殿に花町救出のために入っていった。しかし花町の部屋は炎に包まれており救出は不可能であったが、広大院の命令にてこやは背くことができなかった。鎮火後、花町の部屋付近から2人と思われる焼死体が奥女中らによって発見された。
