イタリア陸軍では、戦闘工兵をグアスタトーリ（Guastatori）、建設工兵をピオニエーリ（Pionieri）、橋梁工兵をポンティエーリ（Pontieri）、鉄道工兵をフェロヴィエーリ（Ferrovieri）と呼んでいる。
