注釈^ アフガニスタンは2021年8月のターリバーン政権による制圧後、前政権により指名されていたイサクザイ（Ghulam Isaczai）が翌年12月15日付で辞任し、ターリバーン政権は後任としてかつてスポークスパーソンを務めたことのあるスハイル・シャヒーンという人物を指名した[2][3]が、この人事は受け入れられていない。
^ 国連ではマケドニアの呼称問題のために「マケドニア旧ユーゴスラビア共和国」 (The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia) と呼ばれ、ラテン文字アルファベット順もこれに従うこととする。

^ ミャンマーは2021年2月の軍事政権によるクーデター前に前政権から指名されていたチョー・モー・トゥンと国軍が指名した退役軍人アウン・トゥレイン（Aung Thurein）のどちらを正式な大使とするかが問題となったが、同年12月6日の総会によりその判断の先送りが無投票で承認され、結局チョー・モー・トゥンが留任することとなった[15]。
