注釈^ バンド名の由来は同名のカナダのB級ホラー映画（邦題『血のバレンタイン』）から。ただし、この映画名が元であることを結成当時デイヴ・コンウェイは他のメンバーに話していなかったという。
^ デヴィッド・ボウイやU2、コールドプレイなどの作品プロデュースで知られるブライアン・イーノは、「（『ラヴレス』の収録曲で『グライダー』にも収録されていた）『スーン』はポップの新しいスタンダードとなるだろう。かつてヒット・チャート入りした曲の中で、これ以上に曖昧で不明瞭なものをぼくは知らない。」と絶賛した。なお、『スーン』にはアンドリュー・ウェザオールによるリミックスバージョンも存在する。
