^ なお、ドイツのプロテスタントの多い一部の州（ブランデンブルク州、メクレンブルク＝フォアポンメルン州、ザクセン州、ザクセン・アンハルト州、テューリンゲン州）では10月31日は「宗教改革記念日（ドイツ語: Reformationstag）」という祝日になっている。1517年10月31日は、マルティン・ルターが95ヶ条の論題をヴィッテンベルクの教会の扉に貼り出した日であって。ハロウィンとは直接関係はない。
