注釈^ 1944年7月のブレトン・ウッズ協定に基き、1946年、国際復興開発銀行と共に創設され、1947年3月、IMF協定の発効により、国際通貨基金 (IMF) が発足、総裁にはケインズが就任した。
^ 各国の通貨当局（中央銀行）間の帳簿上の付け替えで国際取引による債権及び債務の最終的な決済を行う「清算同盟方式」。中心となる国際機関は、国際通貨 (バンコール（bancor）、ケインズの命名) を創出、発行し、世界中央銀行としての機能を持つ。
