注釈 ^ マクドネル・ダグラスDC-10の長距離路線用モデルである30型（JALが所有していたのは、この30型をベースにして開発されたJALオリジナルの特注仕様である40型）は機体の総重量が重くなる（=長距離飛行を行うために燃料を多く搭載する）ため、機体の中央部にセンターギア（中央脚）が追加されているが、JALでは短距離飛行が中心の国内線仕様機においては機体の総重量が軽くなるがゆえにそれらが不要となり、さらに機体そのものの軽量化を兼ねてセンターギアを撤去していた。
^ 当時のJALは国際線用のリゾート路線用機材（リゾッチャ仕様機）の不足を補うべく、国内線専用機材であった747-300SRのJA8183号機を国際線仕様機へと改造し、いち早く路線投入させることを優先した。そのため内装は「リゾッチャ」仕様に変更されつつも外装はJALの通常塗装のままであった（JA8183号機以外の同型機は、内装の改造と並行して外装をリゾッチャの特別塗装へと塗り替えている）。ゆえに犯人の証拠写真が一致せずアリバイが崩されるという結末であったが、これは当時のJA8183号機でなければ成立しないネタであった。なお、JA8183号機は、後に他の-300SRと同じくリゾッチャ特別塗装へと塗り替えられている。
^ JALでは当時、国内線仕様機のボーイング777（-200・-300・元日本エアシステム-200）ではプラット&ホイットニー社製「PW4000」型エンジンを、国際線仕様機（-200ERと-300ER）ではゼネラル・エレクトリック社製の「GE90」型エンジンを搭載して使い分けていた。なお、両メーカーのエンジンは正面（ファンブレード）や外観（エンジンナセル）からも判別可能であるほど外観上の特徴が多い。また、同じPW4000でも、-200自社発注機材はPW4077、-300はPW4090、元日本エアシステムの-200はPW4074と、推力により細かい違いがある。なお、前者のPWエンジン搭載機は、新型コロナウイルスの影響と2020年・2021年と続いたPWエンジン搭載機の連続インシデントを受けて飛行禁止措置が取られた後、GEエンジン搭載機を国内線に転用の上で、当初の予定を前倒しして2021年までに全機退役している。
^ この作品には本シリーズ脚本の伴とプロデュース・演出担当した本間が企画協力としてクレジットされているが、後に伴は自身のツイッターで「アイデア出しやシナリオ作成などには関わっていない」と記述している[信頼性要検証]。
^ なお、木村本人もロンドンで出生しニューヨークで育った帰国子女で、木村の生い立ちがそのまま瑠璃のキャラクターへと反映されている。
^ 木村の出生当時、彼女の父親が実際に勤務していたのも日本航空のロンドン支社である。
