注釈[ソースを編集]^ これ以前に1981年1月20日から1989年1月20日まで2期8年に渡って、ロナルド・レーガン政権にて43代目アメリカ合衆国副大統領を務めていた。
^ 米国ではブッシュが退任直前の2008年に公開された。
^ ブッシュ大統領は、2001年の同時多発テロ直後からの電子メールなどの傍受を令状なしで行っていたことを認めている。これに対し、令状なしの盗聴は違憲であると市民団体が訴訟を起こし、デトロイトの連邦地裁は2006年8月17日、令状なしの盗聴の即時停止を命令。しかし、ブッシュは「盗聴はあくまで大統領の権限だ」と主張している。ワールド・リサーチ・ネット『意外なツボがひと目でわかる世界地図』青春出版社 2007年 p.59.
