ジャミロクワイ（英語: Jamiroquai）は、イギリス出身のアーティスト[2]。バンド形態をとるがリードボーカルのジェイ・ケイのソロユニットであり、「ジャミロクワイ」はケイを中心としたユニット名であると同時にケイのステージネーム＝芸名でもある[3]。アルバムの合計売上枚数は世界中で3500万枚である[4]。アルバム「トラベリング・ウィズアウト・ムービング」は世界一売れたファンクアルバムとしてギネス登録された[5]。代表曲に「スペース・カウボーイ」「ヴァーチャル・インサニティ」「キャンド・ヒート」「リトル・エル」などがある。特に「ヴァーチャル・インサニティ」はMTVで4冠を達成した。
デビュー前

ジェイ・ケイが15歳であった1985年当時ロンドン郊外のイーリングに住んでおり、そこでアレムというペルシャ系の友達に出会い[6]、アレムはヤマハのドラムマシンDX21や赤井電機のキーボードを持っていたため二人はギグにハマった。
