サイパンの戦い（サイパンのたたかい）は太平洋戦争中の1944年6月15日から7月9日にかけてサイパン島で行われた、アメリカ軍と日本軍の戦闘。
斎藤義次中将が指揮する第43師団を主力とした日本軍が守備するサイパン島に、ホーランド・スミス中将指揮のアメリカ軍第2海兵師団、第4海兵師団、第27歩兵師団（英語版）が上陸し、戦闘の末に日本軍は全滅した。このサイパンの戦いにともない、海上ではマリアナ沖海戦（6月19日 - 20日）が発生した。
背景
絶対国防圏の決定1943年（昭和18年）、大本営はソロモン諸島での一連が敗戦しアメリカ軍による本格的な反攻を前にして、広がりきった現戦線で戦うことの不利を認識、後方に自主的に戦線を設けて戦線を集約しようという方針の検討を始めた。
