彼は、1941年に連載を開始した漫画『ワンダーウーマン』の原作者でもある[6]。チャールズ・モールトンという筆名でクレジットされていた[7]。

1947年5月2日[1]、皮膚がんにより[8]、ニューヨーク州ライにて死去[1]。53歳没[1]。
