豊中市（とよなかし）は、大阪府北部の豊能地域にある市。中核市に指定されている。

人口は約40万人であり、大阪市、堺市、東大阪市に次いで府内第4位の人口を擁する。1936年（昭和11年）市制施行。
概要

明治以前は能勢街道の中間地点として栄えた。明治以降は箕面有馬電気軌道（現：阪急電鉄宝塚本線）の沿線開発とともに住民が増えた。さらに、大阪市都心から15km圏内という利点を活かし、北東部の新千里丘陵を中心に大阪都市圏の衛星都市・ベッドタウンとして、1960年代から千里ニュータウンの開発が急速に進んだ。
