裾野市（すそのし）は、静岡県東部にある市。人口は約5万人。

沼津市及び三島市のベッドタウンである。トヨタ自動車が技術実証のため「コネクテッド・シティ」であるWoven Cityの整備を進めているなど[1]、先端技術の研究都市となっている。
地理

富士山をはじめとする3つの大型火山の裾野に位置する街である。この裾野の南北に黄瀬川が流れ、その周囲の平地に市街地が広がる。

裾野市は5つの地区に分かれており、おおむね旧泉村、旧小泉村、旧深良村、旧富岡村、旧須山村の地域[2]が現在はそれぞれ、東地区、西地区、深良地区、富岡地区、須山地区と呼ばれる。深良地区、富岡地区、須山地区には市役所の支所が置かれている。

歴史
沿革

江戸時代には御殿場市・小山町と同様に、主に相模小田原藩の領地だった（一部に旗本領が存在）[3]。

1889年（明治22年）2月1日：佐野駅開設。

1889年（明治22年）4月1日：町村制施行に伴い駿東郡に小泉村・須山村・富岡村・深浪村が成立する。
