行田市（ぎょうだし）は、埼玉県の北部に位置する市。

人口は約8万人。旧・武蔵国埼玉郡。

日本屈指の足袋産地（行田足袋）として知られ、「和装文化の足元を支え続ける足袋蔵のまち行田」が日本遺産に認定されている。全国有数の大型古墳群である埼玉古墳群は国の特別史跡に指定されている。1949年（昭和24年）市制施行。

北は利根川を境に群馬県と接する。ほぼ全域が利根川と荒川の沖積平野であり、土地の高低差がほとんどない平らな地形である。標高は海抜19.7メートル（行田市役所）、市全体では海抜20メートル前後である。最高点は海抜36メートル（さきたま古墳公園内）である。

利根川左岸（群馬県側）にも市域があるが、利根川の河川敷であるため居住者はいない。

荒川には接していないが、清水町（JR行田駅西口付近）は荒川の堤防（熊谷市域）が近接している。

熊谷市との市境付近（国道17号熊谷バイパスと国道125号行田バイパスの交点付近）に、全国でも珍しい複数の飛び地が存在する[注釈 1]。

近世以前

行田市大字埼玉（さきたま）は、古くは『万葉集』に「さきたまの津」という記述があり、『風土記』にも「武蔵国埼玉郡（さきたまごおり）」とあるように、「埼玉県」地名の発祥地である。
