第20回衆議院議員総選挙（だい20かいしゅうぎいんぎいんそうせんきょ）は、1937年（昭和12年）4月30日に日本で行われた帝国議会（衆議院）議員の総選挙である。
概説

衆議院で昭和会を閣内与党、国民同盟などを閣外協力として1937年（昭和12年）2月2日に発足した林銑十郎内閣は、2月15日に再開された第70回帝国議会において重要法案の審議引き延ばし戦術に出た民政党・政友会の二大政党に散々にてこずらされた。そこで昭和12年度予算が可決されると、林内閣は議会における与党勢力の躍進を期待して衆議院解散に打って出た。

しかし、予算成立直後のこの解散は他に理由も乏しいことから「食い逃げ解散」として国民の反発が強く、昭和会・国民同盟はいずれも議席を減らして与党勢力は諸派・無所属を合わせても40議席前後とふるわなかった一方で、民政党も議席を減らして政友会とほぼ互角となったものの二大政党の優位は変らなかった。注目すべきは社会大衆党の躍進で、無産政党が憲政史上初の第三党となっている。この選挙結果を受けて林内閣は5月31日に総辞職した。

なお、この選挙での当選者は1941年（昭和16年）の衆議院議員ノ任期延長ニ関スル法律により特例として任期が1年延長されたことで、結果として5年間にわたって議員の地位にあった。この任期中に大政翼賛会が結成されて日本から政党が事実上消滅し、任期満了によって翼賛選挙とも呼ばれる次の総選挙を迎えることとなる。
