芸歴

1994年

8月?友人に連れられて行った寄席で講談を知り、約一ヶ月半寄席に通いつめる。

9月?新宿永谷ホールへ故2代目神田山陽を訪ねる。


11月?2代目神田山陽に入門。前座名エリ。

1995年1月?見習いから前座になる。

1999年5月?二ツ目昇進。山吹に改名。

2000年10月?山陽死去。

2001年1月?3代目神田松鯉門下へ移籍。

2006年9月?真打昇進。

一時期テレビ埼玉の常盤六丁目一番街・二番街のアシスタントを担当していた時期もあった。（1999年頃）
