矢沢 永吉（やざわ えいきち、1949年〈昭和24年〉9月14日 - ）は、日本のロックミュージシャン[3][4][5][6][7]、シンガーソングライター、俳優。広島県広島市仁保（現南区）出身[5][8][9]。身長180cm、血液型はB型[10]。
人物概要

愛称は「永ちゃん」「ボス」

矢沢ファンは、ロック界でも屈指の熱狂ぶりで知られるが[11][12][13]、他のアーティストのファンとの決定的な違いは“矢沢になろうとする”こと[11][12]。素肌に白スーツ&リーゼント姿の筋金入りはもちろんのこと、生きざまを人生の針路とする人が多い[11][12][14]。2006年には、NHKスペシャルにて矢沢本人ではなくファンにスポットを当てた番組が放映された[15]。キャロルがデビューした1972年から、ソロデビュー以降、今日まで人気を維持し、独特のファン層を形成している[14]。

ほぼ全曲にわたる作曲、および数曲における作詞を手掛ける。クールス「紫のハイウェイ」など他のアーティストには「五大洋光」名義で楽曲を提供したこともある。

1975年のソロデビュー以降、ライブを大事にしたいという考えから[16]、特にテレビ媒体に露出することは少なかった[17][16][注 1]。
