真心ブラザーズ（まごころブラザーズ）は、日本のロックバンドである。ソニー・ミュージックアーティスツ所属。所属レコード会社はDo Thing Recordings。1988年に「THE 真心ブラザーズ」という名称でYO-KING、桜井秀俊の2人で結成され、1989年にデビュー。1995年に現行のバンド名へ変更された。2001年の日本武道館公演をもって活動休止したのち、2005年に活動再開を発表した。

来歴

1988年、当時早稲田大学法学部に在籍していた桜井秀俊が、バラエティ番組『パラダイスGoGo!!』（フジテレビ）のコーナー「勝抜きフォーク合戦」に出場するために、音楽サークル「GEC（早大ギターを楽しむ会）」の先輩で当時早稲田大学教育学部に在籍していたYO-KINGこと倉持陽一を誘って結成。その結果、「勝抜きフォーク合戦」を勝ち抜き、1989年9月にシングル『うみ』でデビュー[3]。テレビ朝日『ニュースステーション』のプロ野球コーナーのタイアップ曲の「どか?ん」が高校野球の応援曲やADバン(Y10型)のCM(1990年)などとしても使用された。

1995年に、THE 真心ブラザーズから真心ブラザーズへとバンド名を変更[4]。

1996年6月21日に14thシングル『拝啓、ジョン・レノン』を発売。表題曲について、歌詞が「レノンを冒涜している」と物議を醸し、一部の放送局で放送禁止となった。YO-KINGは「聖人君子みたいなジョン・レノンのお化粧を取っていったら、『この人の声好きだな』とか、そういうところに落ち着いた曲なんですよ」と説明していて[5]、後日談として桜井は「スポニチに載ったのはうれしかった」とも語っている[6]。
