人口は約72.5万人。緑区、中央区、南区の3区で構成される。
概要

相模原市は、神奈川県内では横浜市、川崎市についで第3位の人口規模を擁しており、2007年3月11日の2町の編入合併により人口は70万人を超え、全国の市で第18位である。
