登別温泉登別温泉街

登別市（のぼりべつし）は、北海道中南部（道央地方）に位置し、胆振総合振興局に属する市。
概要

1869年（明治2年）、太政官布告により仙台藩白石城主の片倉邦憲に幌別郡支配を命じ、翌年に片倉旧臣・職人が移住してきたのが登別市のはじまりである[1]。北海道有数の温泉地である登別温泉は江戸時代から知られており、最上徳内著の『蝦夷草紙』にも記されている。市東部の登別温泉・カルルス温泉がある地域は支笏洞爺国立公園となっており[2]、「観光都市」としての色合いが強い[注 1]。
