熱海市（あたみし）は、静岡県最東部に位置する人口約3.3万人の市。熱海温泉などの温泉街がある。関東地方の神奈川県と接する。
地理熱海市中心部の空中写真。平地はほとんどなく、市街地や住宅地は傾斜地に形成されている。
1976年（1987年の熱海港沖大規模埋め立て工事前）撮影の3枚を合成作成。国土交通省 国土地理院 地図・空中写真閲覧サービスの空中写真を基に作成。
位置

伊豆半島の東側付け根に位置し、相模トラフがある相模灘に面する。

同じ相模灘に面する伊東市・湯河原町方面とは海岸に沿って地理的連続性を有するが、沼津市・函南町方面とは駿河湾水系との分水嶺となる急峻な丹那山地丹那トンネルによって隔てられている。

なお、相模灘にある初島も市域内となっている。
地形

市域内はほとんどが丘陵であり、別荘地や住宅なども高台の上に建つ所が多く、道路も勾配の急な坂が多い。海岸線もすぐに丘となる所がほとんどだが、中心部は埋め立てで砂浜海岸などが形成されている。
