武庫郡（むこぐん）は、兵庫県（摂津国）にあった郡。武庫の名は、大阪湾をはさんで難波津の対岸である「向こう」の岸にあたることに由来するとも、あるいは、神功皇后が三韓出兵の後に兵庫 (兵器蔵) を埋めたことに由来するともいわれる。
郡域

1879年（明治12年）に行政区画として発足した当時の郡域は、概ね下記の区域にあたる。

尼崎市の一部（東海道本線以南の蓬川以西、南武庫之荘十二丁目、同十一丁目、同四丁目、同五丁目、同一丁目、武庫之荘東一丁目、武庫之荘本町以西および武庫之荘三丁目・水堂町四丁目・西立花二丁目・同三丁目の各一部）

西宮市の大部分（山口町各町・塩瀬町各町および内包する各町を除く）

宝塚市の一部（武庫川以南）

慶応4年

2月2日（1868年2月24日） - 幕府領が兵庫裁判所の管轄となる。

5月23日（1868年7月12日） - 兵庫裁判所の管轄地域が兵庫県の管轄となる。


明治3年（1870年）3月 - 名古屋藩領が兵庫県の管轄となる。

明治4年

7月14日（1871年8月29日） - 廃藩置県により、藩領が尼崎県、篠山県の管轄となる。

11月20日（1871年12月31日） - 第1次府県統合により、全域が兵庫県の管轄となる。


明治初年 - 平左衛門新田が鳴尾村に合併。（1町48村）

明治5年（1872年） - 神尾村の旧・旗本領（通称・神呪村）と旧・篠山藩領が統合して神呪寺村となる。

明治12年（1879年）1月8日 - 郡区町村編制法の兵庫県での施行により、行政区画としての武庫郡が発足。郡役所が西宮鞍掛町に設置。

明治13年（1880年）9月 - 郡役所が菟原郡役所と統合のうえ改称して「武庫菟原郡役所」となる。
