林家 染丸（はやしや そめまる）は、上方落語の名跡であり、現在は上方林家の事実上の止め名。当代は四代目。初代・二代目と卯年の生まれであったため、代々うさぎ（ぬの字うさぎ）を定紋としている。
初代林家染丸（天保・弘化時代 - 1877年？） - 明治中期に活躍した。初代林家菊丸門下。染物職人であったことから染丸を名乗り、手が染料で染まったまま高座に上がっていたという。滑稽噺

2代目 林家 染丸（1867年2月12日（慶応3年1月8日） - 1952年（昭和27年）11月11日）は、本名: 岡本仁三郎。 85歳没。
経歴。左官職の傍ら、素人落語で花丸を名乗り活躍した。
1890年4月に、3代目笑福亭松鶴門下で梅喬を名乗り神戸湊亭で初舞台。1893年頃に5代目松喬を継ぐ。
後に3代目松鶴が講談師に転じ後ろ盾を失い三友派の端席などで苦労を重ねる、1910年にようやく一門幹部となり三友派の中心にまで出世した。しかし弟弟子の初代枝鶴との「松鶴」襲名争いに敗れ、2代目桂文團治の勧めにより、事実上一門を離れることとなる。
1912年5月、2代目染丸を襲名した。以降、上方林家は、6代目林家正楽の系統が絶えたこともあり、元来の林家正三の流れから、笑福亭の傍流となる。
三友派に属し花月合同後も吉本の大看板として重きをなしたが、1942年に吉本を離れ引退同然で「林染会」を組織し、高座にはあまり上がらず後進の指導に力を尽くした。戦後5代目松鶴の「上方落語を聞く会」などに出演したが声が縺れるようになり1947年9月の戎橋松竹?落としの口上を最後に引退した。 人格円満で、多くの人々に慕われた。夫人は1914年に結婚した寄席囃子界随一の存在であった林家とみ。息子は2代目笑福亭小福
人物
正岡容が大阪に行ったとき、染丸が十八番の「堀川」をやっているときに、最後の猿回しの口上のところで、三味線を弾いていたとみの三味線の糸が切れ、お囃子が止まってしまい、楽屋に帰ってきて客席に聞こえるぐらい激怒したというエピソードがある。そのすぐ後に5代目橘家圓太郎が出たが、こちらはとみに丁寧にお囃子をお願いしたという。
十八番は「電話の散財」で2代目桂文之助の原作よりも改作し自分のものにした。その他にも「景清」「応挙の幽霊」「河豚鍋」「堀川」など、若手時代は本芸よりも余興の四つ竹で出ることが多かった。
法名は釋林染、辞世は「笑はせに来て笑はれた五十年」。墓所は大阪天王寺区一心寺。
