日進市（にっしんし）は、愛知県の中部に位置する市。

多くの大学や高校、研究開発機関が存在する田園学園都市で、尾張地方の東端に位置し、西は名古屋市天白区と名東区、東はみよし市と豊田市に隣接している。名古屋市営地下鉄鶴舞線（1978年）、名鉄豊田線（1979年）の開通、土地区画整理事業や民間デベロッパーによる宅地開発等により急速に都市化が進み、国勢調査による人口増加率は全国の市の中で2位（12.0%、2000年→2005年、なお1995年→2000年は16.4%で1位）となった。
