日本ロケット協会（にほんロケットきょうかい、英語表記：Japanese Rocket Society, JRS）は、宇宙科学・技術の進歩・普及・発展に寄与することを目的に1956年に設立された任意団体。日本の宇宙開発では最も歴史のある組織である。
活動内容

環太平洋国際宇宙会議 (ISCOPS) の共催他、各種講演会等の開催。

会誌『ロケットニュース』、Journals of Science and Technology of Space (JSTS) などの刊行。

国際宇宙航行連盟 (IAF) 総会への参加。

沿革

1956年9月4日に設立。糸川英夫が初代の代表幹事をつとめる。

1958年、国際宇宙航行連盟 (IAF) に加盟。この時、1953年からIAFに参加していた「日本宇宙旅行協会」（原田三夫会長）の「火星の土地分譲」活動を、糸川が非難したという説がある[1]。

1974年、会長制を施行し、代表者を「会長」に変更。13代代表幹事だった近藤次郎が初代会長をつとめる。

1993年、宇宙丸プロジェクトの研究実施。

1999年、日本学術会議へ学術研究団体として登録。
