擬古（ぎこ）とは、「古いものをまねする」を意味する漢語。様々な文脈で言われるが、主に散文の文体や正書法、または文学作品や芸術作品の作風について言われる。
一般

擬古物語 - 日本文学史において、鎌倉時代に流行した物語文学のジャンルで、平安時代の貴族を主人公にした物語。

擬古文 - 日本語史において、江戸時代の国学者たちが積極的に用いた文体で、平安時代の文体（中古日本語）をまねた文体。

擬古典主義

日本の近現代文学史において、明治時代初期の小説家たち（硯友社・尾崎紅葉・幸田露伴・樋口一葉ら）がとった作風で、江戸時代の井原西鶴に代表される浮世草子をまねた作風。

西洋の古典主義（英語: Classicism）または新古典主義（英語: Neoclassicism）の別表記・同義語。


擬古派

明治時代中期の詩人たち（塩井雨江・武島羽衣・大町桂月ら）が構成した新体詩の一派。
