弥富市（やとみし）は、愛知県西部にある市。日本有数の金魚の産地として知られている[1]。
概要弥富の街並み

2006年（平成18年）4月1日、海部郡弥富町が十四山村を編入合併して市制施行し、愛知県35番目の市として弥富市が誕生した。

北部は鉄道・幹線道路が充実しており、名古屋市や三重県四日市市へのアクセスも良い。昭和40年代には、名古屋市との行き来に便利な地域として、鉄道駅周辺を中心としてベッドタウンとして住宅開発が進み、人口が大きく伸びた。

今日でもマンション開発などが見られ、人口が穏やかに伸びているが、市の北部、南東部の区域には水田地帯が豊かに広がっており、都市部から農村部、海岸部までを持つ豊かな地域を形成している[2]。

キンギョ（弥富金魚）、ブンチョウ（ハクブンチョウ）の産地である。
