音楽において弓（ゆみ）とは、擦弦楽器で弦をこするための器具を言う。

ふつう、木製の棹に馬尾毛を張って用いる。楽器により、短いものでは10センチ程度から、長いものでは日本の胡弓の1メートル近いもの （棹の長さ） まで、様々な長さがある。また、馬尾毛以外にガット、麻糸、シュロ毛を用いるものもある。

現代のヴァイオリン属の楽器にあっては、木で作られ、両端に馬の尾の毛を渡して張力を持って張っているが、その木の形は武器の弓のようなC字形ではなくΣ字のように逆向きに湾曲している。現在のスタイルになるまでに、イタリアのコレッリが毛を強く張るよう改良し、更にタルティーニ、19世紀フランスのトゥールトなどにより改良が加えられ、完成された。

木材の材質には、良質の弓にはブラジルボク（フェルナンブコ・フェルナンビーコ・ペルナンビーコなどとも）が使われる。ただし良質の木材は近年枯渇気味といわれ、近年では炭素繊維強化プラスチック製の弓が増えつつある。

より古い楽器や西洋以外の擦弦楽器の弓はC字形をしているものが多い。

和楽器である胡弓の弓は非常に長く、また毛の量が多く、しかも緩やかに張る。弓の棹は逆向きにやや反っている。これは江戸時代初期の音楽家八橋検校の改良によるもので、その後は更に長くなった。八橋による改良以前は短く少量の毛を強く張っていた。現在でも民謡で用いる胡弓ではそのような弓を使用する。

馬の尾の毛の部分で楽器の弦をこするが、毛だけでは摩擦力が不足するため、松脂を塗る。

なお、弦楽器のほか、ヴィブラフォンの音板や、鋸や釘を弓でこすって演奏する音楽もある。
