1970年代半ば洋楽に目覚め、高校時代にアメリカ合衆国へ留学[3]。大学時代から来日アーティストの通訳に従事し、レコード会社勤務を経てフリーランスになる。カーペンターズの解説・対訳の多くを手がける[3]。
