孤独問題担当国務大臣（こどくもんだいたんとうこくむだいじん、英: Minister for Loneliness）は、イギリス政府に設置された、社会的孤独者問題に対処するために任命された「国務大臣」である。政務次官 (Parliamentary Under Secretary of State) が所掌する業務のうち「孤独問題」を担当するものを言う。2021年の第2次ジョンソン内閣改造に伴い、廃止された。
概要

イギリスは近年、高齢化社会や社会不適合などで「孤独に困っている人間」が急増して社会問題化している。2016年にテロリストの兇弾に斃れた労働党下院議員のジョー・コックスは生前に社会的孤独者の問題を調査・提言する組織を準備し、コックスの死後に遺志を継いだ超党派の英国議会議員らが「ジョー・コックス委員会」を結成し、委員会が長い期間をかけて福祉団体などと連携して社会的孤独に関する調査した結果をまとめた提言が2017年12月に発表された[1]。提言は「国家的戦略により、孤独問題に対処することが必要」とし、問題解決への意志を政府が示すべく「専門の閣僚を設置するべき」などとされた[2]。

連合王国内閣総理大臣兼第一大蔵卿のテリーザ・メイは、社会的孤独者問題を担当する政務職を設置することを決断し、スポーツ・市民社会担当政務次官（英語版）を務める保守党のトレーシー・クラウチ下院議員の所管業務に、「孤独問題に対する省庁横断的業務」を加え[3]、メディアは「孤独問題担当大臣」の設置と報じた[4]。

2018年10月に、孤独問題に関する戦略が発表された[5]。

2018年11月に、クラウチが国務次官を辞職して後任にミムズ・デイヴィス（英語版）下院議員が任命された。2019年7月に成立したジョンソン内閣は、デイヴィス下院議員の後任にダイアナ・バラン（英語版）上院議員を任命した。
