嬰ト短調（えいトたんちょう）は、西洋音楽における調の1つで、嬰ト (G♯) 音を主音とする短調である。調号はシャープ5箇所 (F, C, G, D, A)。

和音は和声的短音階で考えたもの。
VII度音にダブルシャープが付くため、一般的にVIIの和音はV7 (D♯7) の、VII7の和音はV9 (D♯7(♭9)) の根音を省略した形とみなされる。
その他のコードネームも実際の楽譜では異名同音的に変えられることがある。
特徴

導音（第7音）はFダブルシャープで、下属音（第4音、C♯）を半音上げたCダブルシャープもしばしば使用されるなど、譜面上でダブルシャープ（重嬰記号）が多用される調である。ダブルシャープを避けるならば異名同音の変イ短調で書く方法もある（導音はGナチュラルである）が、調号に♭を7箇所も使用する(B, E, A, D, G, C, F)のであまり使われない。

ピアノでは黒鍵を多用するため運指が比較的容易な調といわれている。一方、ヴァイオリンでは開放弦がほとんどなく、Fダブルシャープも使われるため、大変弾きづらい調である。

演歌に多い音調。現在の電子楽器の普及により歌手の肉体条件（高い音程で歌える能力の有無）にあわせ、簡単に調整できることが反映している。読譜しやすいイ短調の曲譜面で半音下げた嬰ト短調を演奏することは容易である。
