奈良市（ならし）は、奈良県の北部に位置する市。奈良県の県庁所在地及び人口が最多の市であり、中核市に指定されている。

奈良時代に都が置かれたことから古都と呼ばれる。また、京都に対して南都とも呼ばれた[4]。
