テレビ制作関係者を経て、ビル管理会社勤務。

2019年3月、大腸に腫瘍が見つかり（多発転移ステージ4）、同年9月27日に15時間を超える手術を行った。

2021年8月現在、抗がん剤投与による治療を継続している。

2023年9月25日逝去　５７歳没

来歴
結成

1981年、同じ中学に通っていた同級生5人がバンド「HOTCAKE」を結成、卒業を機に活動開始（3月3日が結成記念日）。

1983年夏、音楽の甲子園と呼ばれた「YOKOHAMA HIGH SCHOOL HOT WAVE FESTIVAL」の決勝大会に出場。賞は獲得できなかったが[1]、ステージパフォーマンスをフジサンケイグループの関係者に認められスカウトされる。『コミュニケーションカーニバル 夢工場'87』のイメージソングでメジャーデビューするにあたってバンド名を「夢工場」に変更する[注釈 1]。

メジャー・デビュー

1986年8月5日、「フォトジェニック・エンジェル」でデビュー。当時はチェッカーズやC-C-Bといったアイドル的な要素を踏まえたバンドが活躍しており、夢工場も錠前を大量に用いた奇抜な衣装やボリュームのあるカーリーヘアで目立つ要素を加味することを求められた。

2枚目のシングル「ひとりぼっちのデュエット」とB面の「君をとばした午後」は、 あだち充原作のテレビアニメ番組『タッチ』のオープニング及びエンディングに、さらに4枚目のシングル「舌打ちのマリア」は『陽あたり良好!』のエンディングに楽曲がそれぞれ起用された。
