合掌捻り（がっしょうひねり）とは、相撲の決まり手の一つである。
由来

名前の由来は掛け手が両手を組む様子が手を合わせている（合掌している）ように見えることから。

2000年に行われた決まり手の改定以来、現在では相手の首、または胴体の後側で両手を組んで左右どちらかにひねり倒す技とされている。

現在までに、幕内では3度記録されており、1963年1月場所10日目で清勢川が若鳴門に、1965年11月場所9日目で大心が前田川に、2022年11月場所9日目に玉鷲が宇良に、それぞれ決めている[1][2]。また、十両では2度記録されており、1966年1月場所5日目で房錦が陸奥嵐に、1987年9月場所12日目で琴富士が南海龍に、それぞれ決めている。
経緯

現在では別の決まり手として制定されている「合掌捻り」と「徳利投げ」であるが、1957年の日本相撲協会による決まり手の制定から2000年までの間、両決まり手は共に「合掌捻り」と呼び表されていた。

徳利投げが合掌捻りの一部として扱われていた時期は比較的長かったため、プロレスやサブカルチャー等大相撲以外の分野においては、現在でも徳利投げを合掌捻りの名で呼んでいることがある。
