歴

北海道知事一覧（ほっかいどうちじいちらん）では、戦後地方自治法に基づいて地方自治体として位置づけられた北海道の歴代知事（公選：19代7人）およびその前身の北海道庁長官を掲載する。北海道庁設立前の開拓使の長官および函館県・札幌県・根室県の県令についても扱う。
開拓長官

開拓使は、樺太開拓使が置かれた明治3年（1870年）2月13日から明治4年（1871年）8月7日の間は、名称が「北海道開拓使」。

1鍋島直正明治2年（1869年）7月13日（肥前国佐賀藩主・知藩事）開拓次官に清水谷公考（明治2年（1869年）7月24日 - 9月13日）、黒田清隆（明治3年（1870年）5月9日 - 明治7年（1874年）8月）
初代鍋島・清水谷は実務に取りかかる前に退任したため、2代東久世・黒田が実質的に開拓使事業を開始
2東久世通禧明治2年（1869年）8月25日京都（公家）
明治4年（1871年）10月15日に東久世通禧が侍従長に転任して以降は、黒田清隆が次官のまま開拓使のトップに立つ
3黒田清隆明治7年（1874年）8月2日薩摩国 島津領明治14年（1881年）、十年計画の満期を見据え開拓使の廃止方針を固めるが、開拓使官有物払下げ事件が起こる
後に内閣総理大臣（第2代）に就任
