I’m interested in local or personal memories recorded in old media such as photographs, 8mm films, cassette tapes, and so on.

Currently, my project team is working on collecting and digitalizing such archival materials to make them be open and accessible now and future in cooperation with local libraries.

One of serious social issues in present-day Japan is losing local characteristics then standardizing cultures and people livings caused by weakening local media in relation to population decreasing and outflow to big cities.

I want to contribute to inheriting memories and documents in locals to the future using with digital archives. I believe that those archives also stimulate people in this time who create future.
