美智子（みちこ、1934年〈昭和9年〉10月20日 - ）は、日本の第125代天皇・明仁の皇后（在位: 1989年〈昭和64年〉1月7日 - 2019年〈平成31年〉4月30日）、上皇后（在位: 2019年〈令和元年〉5月1日 - ）。皇族。お印は白樺。敬称は陛下[2]。勲等は勲一等。旧名は正田 美智子（しょうだ みちこ）。

明治時代以降初めての民間出身[注釈 1][注釈 2]の皇后ならびに皇族。現皇室典範下で立后した初めての皇后でもある。
